Dedham, Massachusetts Rehab Center
Topsail is a rehab center that provides rehab care to residents of Dedham, MA and the surrounding communities. We tackle the variety of drug addiction problems that pervade our Massachusetts communities.
Prescription Drug Treatment
While many people envision drug addiction as a moral failing, this couldn’t be further from the truth. The opioid epidemic actually has its roots in the overprescription of painkillers. While ultra-potent synthetic opioids such as fentanyl now drive the epidemic, it began in the 1990s when doctors started generously prescribing opioids. These prescription drugs ended up being far more addictive than the doctors and public were led to believe, which spiraled into the opioid crisis.
If you or a loved one developed an addiction to prescription drugs, including but not limited to painkillers, reach out to us. We understand the difficulty of being in your position, and we’re experienced in helping people break free from prescription drug addiction.
Alcohol misuse and abuse often develop into addiction, and excessive drinking is so normalized that it can be hard to see you have a problem. Make no mistake, though: alcohol abuse puts you at a serious risk of premature death by degrading your impulse control and damaging your internal organs. Breaking an alcohol addiction can be harder than most people appreciate, as alcohol withdrawal can be so severe as to be life-threatening. One of our specialties at Topsail is helping people who have passed their initial alcohol detox maintain sobriety and make a full recovery from alcohol addiction.
Illicit Drug Abuse
People become addicted to illicit drugs for many reasons, but Topsail isn’t here to judge you. No matter how you developed an addiction to illicit drugs, you deserve the help you need to get better and re-enter society. Topsail provides a range of rehabilitation services that can help you kick your drug addiction while keeping in touch with the outside world and even continue working as you go through rehab.
Types of Care
TopSail offers three types of outpatient rehab. While outpatient rehab may not be suitable if you need to undergo supervised withdrawals, studies have shown it’s just as effective as inpatient care in other cases. Outpatient rehab care is essentially a type of care that allows you to continue living at your home while visiting our facility.
Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
PHP is the most intensive outpatient care model, with a schedule that’s typically too intensive for you to continue working. PHP is a period of targeted treatment where the emphasis is on getting through the hardest part of post-withdrawal recovery. The plus side is that you still have some freedom, and we’ll be able to provide guidance and care in a dynamic fashion that responds to your life challenges as they arise.
Intensive Outpatient Care (IOP)
While intensive outpatient care is a considerable commitment, we make every effort to accommodate the responsibilities of our patients. You’ll need to take moderate-length trips to our facility most days of the week, but we schedule IOP for the morning and evening, leaving you with free time to go to work and remain in touch with friends and family.
Outpatient Care (OP)
Standard outpatient care is the final stage of the Topsail treatment program. It consists of weekly visits for group therapy and updates with our therapists. You’re responsible for your own life, but you still have access to a supportive community and expert aid when you need it. We track your progress, identify early relapse risks, and help you achieve a lasting recovery from addiction.
While classical inpatient rehab can be an invaluable step in the process, people often find the loss of support jarring and suffer a relapse when it’s over. Look to outpatient care for assistance in transitioning back to a healthy, independent life.
