Addiction is a disease that can lead to many problems for the addict. Once a person realizes the problem, they will need to get help to overcome the addiction. Topsail Addiction Treatment is here to help Reading residents achieve sobriety success!

Being able to count on professionals and peers when you have challenges can help you to stay motivated and on the right path. Our program helps you to gradually transition to living life on your own after you complete intensive inpatient rehab.

Treatment Increases Sobriety Success

Just like with any chronic medical condition, a person who suffers from alcoholism or drug addiction needs to have the proper treatments. You can’t turn to a one-size-fits-all program to get the help you need. Instead, turn to Topsail’s customized programs.

The program at Topsail includes three phases to help our participants. Clients can choose the program that meets their needs or step through the different programs as they slowly transition to independent recovery in Reading, MA.

Step 1: Full Day Treatment or PHP

This is our most intensive phase. It lasts approximately 14 to 30 days. You meet with us five days per week for five to six hours per day. During this phase, you have various types of counseling, including individual and group therapy.

You also work with one of our aftercare planning specialists to come up with a plan that you can follow when you aren’t in our facility. This helps you to set goals and work toward the future you deserve. It includes small goals that help to propel you to the bigger ones.

Step 2: Half-day Treatment

This phase consists of you coming to see us three times per week for approximately 3 to 4 hours per session. Most people take 30 to 60 days in this phase. We have day or evening sessions to accommodate your schedule. You’ll be able to go to school, have a job, and start to interact with the hobbies you enjoy. This adds a little more freedom to your week while still holding you accountable when necessary.

Step 3: Weekly Treatment

By this phase, you’re largely prepared for living your sober life without having to come to our facility often. You will meet with us one hour per week. This is your chance to check in with us for accountability. We’ll help you to fine-tune your coping methods and work with you to find solutions to any issues that are bothering you. This phase typically lasts 60 to 120 days.

How Does a Graduated Treatment Plan Help?

The graduated treatment plan at Topsail slowly lets you get back to your regular life. The gradual transition enables you to keep your stress to a minimum since you know you have a dedicated support system you can count on. You have a chance to talk to our counselors and other participants to help to address some of the challenges that you’ll face. This makes it easier to enjoy your life again.

In your individual therapy sessions, you can discuss your unique circumstances. This might include things that you don’t want to discuss in a group setting. We can work with you to find a way to address your issues in a way that’s suitable for you. We understand that what works for one person might not work for another. By taking the time to meet with each participant, we can tailor the basic program into one that addresses their specific concerns.

Group therapy sessions are all about support and motivation. The group discusses their challenges and what they’re doing to overcome those. This gives everyone a chance to learn ways that they might maintain their sobriety even when they’re facing hard situations. Members of the group uplift each other and celebrate the successes of each member. You may even find some friends for life thanks to the camaraderie that comes with our group sessions.
